User agreement and operational guidelines for INDI-SET

1. Prohibited Conduct

By accessing or using INDI-SET, you agree not to do the following:

  • Infringe our or any third party's intellectual property rights, publicity rights, or privacy rights.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of INDI-SET or any part thereof, except where expressly permitted by applicable law.
  • Intentionally interfere with or damage the operation of the INDI-SET web application by any means, including uploading or disseminating viruses, adware, spyware, worms, or other malicious code or files.
  • Use any robot, spider, other automatic devices, or manual processes to monitor or copy the INDI-SET web application without prior written permission.
  • Interfere or disrupt the INDI-SET platform or networks connected to the INDI-SET platform.
  • Take any action that imposes an unreasonably or disproportionately large load on INDI-SET's infrastructure or network.
  • Reproduce, distribute, or modify the tool and/or its results without prior written consent from CSTEP.
  • Provide false, inaccurate, or misleading information.

2. Citation and Acknowledgement Policy

Users of INDI-SET and its outputs are required to provide appropriate credit when referencing or publishing any results derived from the tool by using the citation:

"India Sensor Evaluation and Training (INDI-SET), developed by CSTEP."

3. Non-commercial Use Only

INDI-SET and its outputs are intended for research, policy planning, educational use, and institutional use. Commercial use of the tool or its results without explicit written permission from CSTEP is strictly prohibited.

4. User Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for the interpretation and application of the outputs generated by INDI-SET. CSTEP shall not be held liable for decisions, actions, or outcomes resulting from the use of the tool.

5. Data Usage Limitation

The results generated by INDI-SET are based on available data sets at the time of development. Users should validate outputs with current, ground-truth data wherever feasible before making any policy or project decisions.

7. Amendments to Terms

CSTEP reserves the right to amend these terms of use at any time. Continued use of INDI-SET implies acceptance of any revised terms.
