On 23 September, CSTEP signed an MoU with the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, to establish the India Air Quality Sensor Evaluation and Training (Indi-SET) facility in Kolkata.
Expanding the Indi-SET facility to Kolkata will provide an opportunity to evaluate low-cost air quality sensor performance and generate high-quality collocation datasets under eastern India's distinctive environmental and meteorological conditions (marine influence and downwind of the Indo-Gangetic Plain).
This collaboration aims to develop a region-specific low-cost air quality sensor calibration model, which would benefit the broader sensor community in India.
